The idea is to conserve old clothes (in almost perfect condition) to ensure that Earth pollution is further stopped. The fashion and clothing production is the second most polluting industry because of it's heavy use of plastics that is harmful for our planet. This includes over exploitation of resources, over consummation of water and deforestation. The problem with the current fashion is that it is based on fast production and rapid change.

People throw away good clothes to buy the next model that is coming off of the production lines the next season. The clothes you wear in the spring will be out of fashion the upcoming summer because of these changes of trends, and what happens to these old garments that you find outdated? They end up in a trash pile! We don't have time to recycle in our busy world. When this apparel is left to rot, it end's up decomposing and releasing noxious greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. We need to remember that we can still wear the clothes we keep in our closet. This is the way to have a ecologically and a conscious mindset when it comes to wearing the clothes we are so attached to.
